Painting by numbers is quite relaxing. I have a wonderful experience with the canvas but the painting was insufficient for some colors, at least two colors were not enough to paint the total canvas. I had to buy another to finish it. Also not every number in the canvas is clear. So manufacturers can might change the font to increase the quality and clarity of the numbers printed in the canvas and the bond paper. specially on small spaces.

The paint covers the canvas fabric nicely, the numbers don’t show through expect for a few colours which you just need to either go over with a second coat or just be more generous with a thicker blob of paint. I had more than enough paint left over from almost every colour.

Pros: a wide variety of colors, lighly colored on the canvas to make it easier to find, and includes brushes
Cons: the colors are slightly off. (He doesn’t look like an Oompa Loompa in real life) and some colors are thin so they don’t cover the numbers well
Tips I learned the hard way:
-Only do one color at a time and finish that color. They easily dry out after opening.
-use lighter colors first to get the hang of it, and paint the most important parts first (I always get sloppier toward the end and want to finish)
-don’t paint inside the lines, paint OVER the lines so they don’t show in the end
-if you’re serious about precision, buy your own brushes. I did this all with what was provided but they are cheap. By the end it is destroyed and not good at fine details. (I also only used the small brush for everything except the big red parts)
-if you mess up, blot it with a paper towel once to get excess off, let dry, and paint over it later with the right color
